Do I have to be fit?

Definitely not! All our activities are possible to do no matter how fit you are and we can tailor activities to suit if there are both ultra-fit and ultra-unfit members in your group so that all participants will be able to enjoy the activity.

Do I need any previous experience of my chosen activities?

Not at all, in fact you will probably get more out of it if you have never participated in the activities before, it will be an exciting surprise and our Instructors are very enthusiastic and keen to help people to try new things.

Do I need to buy special equipment?

All activity equipment is supplied so all you need to have with you is suitable outdoor clothing with particular emphasis on wet/windy weather gear. Come prepared for it and hopefully you will only need shorts and T-shirts!

Will my choice of activity be changed if the weather is inclement?

This will depend on the activity and also whether you want to change ie if it is very windy it is sometimes impossible to run the canoeing both for safety and comfort and we may have to stop the High Ropes if the winds are very strong or there is a thunderstorm but lots of other things can still go ahead for instance rock-climbing and abseiling. Mountain biking in the rain is great fun too!

I would like to try the High Ropes Course but do not know if I have a fear of heights?

There are lots of opportunities on the course for you to test yourself without being under any pressure and you will be surprised at how far you can go, our Instructors will give you lots of support and encouragement and I am sure the rest of your group will too. Coaching your friends and belaying are all part of it as well!
